J. Kurt Koenig
CEO and President
In addition to the three founders, Kurt Koenig has accepted the position of CEO and President of NBPI. Kurt, a graduate engineer from the University of Rochester, spent over 30 years with Eastman Kodak Company in design, manufacturing and marketing capacities. He was involved in a number of development projects, ranging from cameras supporting the space program, to consumer cameras, and high-volume electronic copier/printers. During one of his last assignments at Kodak he helped develop a $30M contract manufacturing business in 3 years. Since 1993, he had been an independent tradeshow marketing consultant for a number of companies. Prior to accepting his new position, Kurt was acting as a consultant for the company in marketing, process management, and tradeshow consultation. In his new role, Kurt will primarily oversee operations and business development.
Charles Cochran, D.C.
Director of Research and Development, Founder
Dr. Charles Cochran is a published author, speaker and expert in chiropractic, nutrition and nutraceutical product formulation and development. He is now a finalist for the International Olympic Prize endowed by Pfizer for the year 2002 for his work on the development of a joint care product. After receiving his doctorate in chiropractic from Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa, he taught college-level human anatomy and physiology, maintained his own practice, served as director of nutritional development for Imaginetix, a nutritional company, that specialized in over 32 spirulina-based and anti-oxidant formulas, and has created several nutritional formulas that are presently being sold throughout North America, Europe, and Australia. These formulas include most of Natrol Corporations joint health products and Nikken’s (MLM company) digestion and detoxification formulas. He brings the products, resources and expertise to NBPI. As product spokesperson and NBPI’s leader in research and development, Chuck will contribute a constant flow of knowledge, information and new products to the NBPI pipeline.
J. Gregory Koenig
Founder
Greg Koenig brings his energy, vision, and creativity to NBPI. His drive and enthusiasm ignited the spark to bring First Call to market as a hangover preventative. Greg has been involved at all levels within small, medium, and large corporations and served in capacities ranging from customer service to sales management. As an account manager for TDK Corporation, he developed over $25 Million in passive component business at Apple Computer and Northern Telecom. As a manufacturer’s representative, he managed over $50 million dollars annually in component sales to various Fortune 100 customers in Silicon Valley. Adept at inventing and designing new processes and ideas to solve problems, Greg is the chief strategist in positioning Natural Bridges’ current and future products. He also is responsible for the patent application as the inventor of First Call and shares the patent filing with Dr. Cochran. He attended the University of Alabama and has an honorable discharge from the US Air Force.
Brett Miller
Chief Operational Officer
Brett has nearly fifteen years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical diagnostic industries. His industry background covers research and development, manufacturing, operations and business development. Brett has developed numerous products (both pharmaceutical and diagnostic) that are on the market, and holds one patent for the testing of alcohol using saliva. Prior to joining Natural Bridges, Brett helped start and was the Vice President of Product Development and Operations for Guardian Angel Holdings, Inc, a consumer medical diagnostic company. Brett holds an undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from Baylor University and has a MBA from Regis University.
John T. Blaettler
Chief Financial Officer, Founder
John Blaettler, an MBA graduate from Santa Clara University, brings over 21 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant in various partnerships and private practice. John brings his financial accounting and tax expertise, analytical skills and business contacts to NBPI. His work as a financial officer and consultant for a variety of growing companies like Christopher Garlic and HeadStart Commercial Nurseries over the last 10 years, has given him the experience and insight necessary to help move NBPI along a sound path toward financial success. John’s very active in service and leadership to various non-profit organizations including Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and the Gilroy Garlic Festival.
